The DrayBase waitlist opens one port at a time

DrayBase has not launched. There is nothing to trial and no card to enter — the waitlist is the queue we work through port by port. What follows is the actual mechanism behind the field below, and a straight account of what is built today and what is not.

No spam. One email when we open your port.

This form worksYour address is stored and one notification reaches a founder. That is the entire mechanism. Nothing is scheduled, nobody is assigned to qualify you, and there is no sequence behind it — not as a policy we are promising to keep, but because there is no such thing in the code.

01What happens next

After you press the button

Most waitlists are a mailing list wearing a better name, and you find out which kind you joined when the fourth automated email arrives. This is the sequence, written from the code that runs it.

Written down
One row in our own database — your address, the time, and a hash of your IP. Not a rented marketing platform, and not a spreadsheet a founder means to tidy up later.
One email
A single notification to a founder, with your address set as the reply-to so that answering you takes one keystroke. If the mail server is down your signup is already saved — the email is best effort, the record is not.
Nothing else
No drip campaign, no lead score, no retargeting pixel, no third-party analytics on this page. There is nothing else in the system that could fire.
Twice is fine
Sign up again from the yard phone and you get the same answer as the first time. A repeat is not an error, and the page will not tell a stranger whether an address is already on the list.
Your port
When it opens you hear from a person, and the email describes what the product does on the day it is sent rather than what the roadmap says it will do. No date, because there is no date to give you.

Your port, your fleet size, your terminals and the system you run today are the useful part, and the form deliberately does not ask for any of it — a one-field form is a form people finish. If you want that context in front of us now, the contact page takes it and reaches the same founders.

Your email

The only thing the form asks for, and the only thing it requires. It is how we reach you when your port comes up.

A hashed IP

Not the address itself — a hash of it, used to rate-limit abuse and to spot duplicates. It is never displayed anywhere.

Your browser string

The user agent, truncated. It is the difference between a signup from a desk and one typed at a gate on a phone.

Nothing you did not type

No advertising trackers, no third-party pixels, no cross-site profile. The privacy policy spells out the rest.

02What you are queuing for

What is built, and what is not

Being honest about the queue is the easy half. The half that matters is what sits at the end of it. Today DrayBase reads a carrier's day accurately; it does not yet write to it.

Dispatch board
Built and running against a real Postgres drayage database — no carrier is dispatching on it yet, because nobody has been migrated. It returns a carrier's loads with the status derived on the server, plus the driver, the chassis, the appointment window and the risk already calculated in the API — so the board and anything built on top of it later cannot disagree about the same box. Read-only for now: assignment and bulk actions Planned. See the board.
Free time
Built. Last free day, per diem and demurrage exposure are computed from the container record, and the last free day carries its source and the time it was last updated alongside the date — so nobody has to guess whether a Monday morning number is still true. See containers.
Isolation
Built. One carrier's data is fenced off from another by Postgres row-level security, under a database role that cannot bypass it — not by a where clause somebody has to remember to type. See security.
Terminal feeds
Last free day, holds and gate events are first-class fields on the container record, and every date carries the source that supplied it and when it was last refreshed. Nothing fills them in yet: no terminal scraper, no carrier API, and no screen to type one into while the system is read-only. Planned
Driver app
Not built. No mobile app, no voice status, no proof of delivery from the cab, no offline queue for the dead spots between the gate and the warehouse. Planned
The money
Not built. No invoicing, no driver settlements, no accounting sync — and the pricing model that would bill any of it has no billing system behind it yet, which the pricing page says in as many words. Planned
The agents
Not built, none of the six. When they land they suggest, alert or draft, and a dispatcher approves — an agent that changes state on its own is not something we will ship by default. See the agents. Planned

There is no migration importer either: moving your customers, lanes, rates and open loads is work we would do beside you during a pilot, with your old system still running. What switching involves.

We would rather lose you now on what is missing than on a demo that oversold it.

Newark · Elizabeth · Port Liberty NYNY / NJ opens first, because that is where the operation we are building alongside actually runs and where we can stand in the yard when something breaks. More on the New York and New Jersey market.
Every other portJoin anyway, then tell us which port on the contact page — the form itself only takes your address. A cluster of carriers asking from one port beats a scatter across the coast.
How the order gets setBy where we can support a carrier properly, not by who signed up first. A queue position we cannot honour is worth nothing to either of us.

03Questions

What people ask before joining

What does joining the DrayBase waitlist commit me to?

Nothing. There is no card, no contract, no call booked and no obligation to buy anything if we do open your port. You are telling us to get in touch, and that is the whole of it.

When will I hear back?

We are not going to give you a date, because we do not have one. DrayBase has not launched and has no customers, and access opens one port at a time so that migrations get done properly instead of quickly.

Can I see the product before then?

There is no self-serve demo and no free trial, because there is nothing to self-serve yet. What we can do is load a week of your real moves and run the dispatch board in front of you on a call. Ask for that on the contact page.

What if I do not run New York or New Jersey?

Join anyway. The form only takes your address, so if you want your port counted, name it on the contact page — that is the signal that decides which market opens next, and several carriers asking from the same port is a far stronger argument than a spread of single signups across the coast.

Do you sell or share my email address?

No. It is not sold, not shared and not handed to an advertising platform. There are no advertising trackers and no third-party pixels on this site, and the privacy policy says the same thing in the language a lawyer would use.

Is DrayBase live today?

Not publicly, and no carrier has been migrated yet. The dispatch board is written and running — it reads loads, moves, containers, chassis and drivers out of Postgres and prices the free time — but it is read-only: it shows the day, it does not yet change it. Billing, the driver app, the terminal integrations and the operating agents are not built, and every page on this site marks those as planned rather than describing them in the present tense.

How do I get off the list?

Write to [email protected], the address the privacy policy names for data requests, and the row gets deleted by hand — deletion is a manual operation here today. There is no re-engagement sequence to escape from, because there are no sequences at all.

Early access

Put your own lanes on DrayBase

One field, and then we leave you alone until there is something worth your morning. If you would rather talk it through first, that reaches the same people.

Before you decide: what we are building, what lands next, how it will be priced, how your data is fenced off, and who is behind it.
